★ Character Information ★
Character Name: Luke Skywalker
Character Age: 27
Character Species: Human
Current Health: Healthy, very much so because blah, blah Force nonsense.
Outfit: Black on black with a black glove (over a prosthetic hand) and black, knee-high leather Chanel boots. (Because fashion.)
Character Canon: Star Wars: Legends (Heir to the Empire trilogy).
Link to History:

I want you to know that I was profoundly tempted to use a Star Wars scroll-maker for the history section. Instead, I will just link you the Wookiepedia article for Legends history.
Canon Point: This is both an OOC and an IC canon point because Legends canon gets really, really messy after the prequels. Basically what happened is that 20 years ago Timothy Zahn was given really weird instructions by George Lucas about what he could and could not include in his books. (Heir the Empire being the first post-original trilogy 'new' canon.) At the time of writing, and the time I'm playing him from, nothing from the prequel movies is canon.
Clone Wars? Yeah, that was all about evil Jedi clones.
Midichlorians? Never heard of 'em.
Jedi? Every. Single. One. Dead.
How did Vader fall? Who knows?
Who is Luke and Leia's mother? A mystery.
Coming in from the end of the Heir trilogy is a good spot, I think! Post-prequel movies, Lucas started to re-write canon and throw in stuff that he made movie-canon. Like a very stupid book where Leia communes with Anakin's spirit and learns how to forgive him his formerly genocidal and shitty ways because he was REALLY A GOOD GUY. (...hi, I have opinions.)
Canon Iteration: Original.

★ Folkmore Roles & Attributes ★
Skills:
To summarize:
- pilot and tech nerd
- cunning linguist.
Canon Abilities:
Bless the Wookiepedia and its very thorough editors.
- the Force.
- l33t fighting skillz.
Role: Legend.
Role Qualities/Attributes: Fine, blue-black feathers that settle over his shoulders and look more like a part of his preferred black-on-black look than anything else. Perhaps the occasional bit of star-light glimmer when there shouldn't be one? (Because, SPACE. Boy loves his flying and space.) Does he have actual wings? Probably, but he's not flashing those around. I will admit that I like my monsters/angels/etc., otherworldly and deeply unsettling, so these are my mental references: spooky wings & glowy eyes; wings as a sort of cape, with extra wings? for being EXTRA; basically, stuff gets weird when you image search for 'space angel seraphim'. Real Weird. Real fast.
...not this weird, though.
Role Reasoning: I think it's pretty fair that you can argue either Myth or Legend for Luke. He's strongly in favour of individualism (chaotic/myth) and does not like rigid, hierarchical structures unless he can puncture them; however, he firmly believes in goodness, kindness, and giving of the self. All that said, Luke hasn't fallen. Yet.

OPTION 2 QUESTIONS (PICK 4-5) 100-300 WORD LIMIT EACH:
OH, and he's queer as a three dollar bill. Fight me.
Luke's motivations tend to be neatly divvied up into two main reasons: first, he wants to do good, promote justice and freedom, while respecting the Force; and second, he is a little shit.
Luke is a great example of the of 'swan' character trope - above the water, he looks cool, calm, and collected, but underneath he's paddling like hell.
On the surface, he's kind and thoughtful. He tries to project a certain level of zen, especially given that he feels that's what a 'proper' Jedi ought to be like. The code that he was trained in stresses that there are a list of things a Jedi must forswear: emotion, ignorance, passion, and chaos. They're also meant to put aside fear and any other 'negative' emotions. According to the old Jedi Council, unless someone is taken very young (usually under five years old), they can't properly be trained to achieve this ideal.
At 18 when he began his training, Luke was far too old. Too 'worldly'. His connections to his friends and family are something that he really struggles with - on the one hand, it means he's unable to live up to the Code; but on the other, his love and belief in the power and possibility of redemption is what lead to Vader turning on the Emperor and saving Luke. He projects (or tries to) a measure of kindness that some might mistake for naiveté, but given his history growing up on Tatooine, a hive of scum and villainy known for guns, drugs, and the slave trade, he's well aware of the nastier side of life.
Let's talk about Joseph Campbell and the Hero's Journey. Or not, because plenty of people have already written on it and they're better giving the tl;dr than I am.
